On the 3rd of Febuary i put my phone in at Phones4u to get repaired and was told it took 7 to 10 days, i have a spare phone so this wasn't an issue. 23 days later i was informed my phone was ready to pick up. When i picked it up i wanted to check it in the shop to make sure it was fixed. when i opened up the back of the phone there was clearly a different battery in the phone, I take pride in looking after my stuff and the battery in their had the white cover on it fraying which you can feel when putting the back of the phone back on. The adviser just said its to be expected with batteries. Im very suspicious of this, my battery was in perfect condition and i had never overcharged it, have i been fobbed off with a dodgy battery? time will tell. Secondly, the black finish on the phone has turned silver in places, again not the condition i sent it. The screen now also has two scratches on it, only small but big enough for me to see them straight away which i was not happy about. Finally, the keypad now has a slight gap beneath it, this is most annoying when i am writing a text as you can now feel the keypad is not sitting flush with the phone. In the shop i was told it was a simple software fix, so why has this appeared with my keypad? I did raise these points(apart from the keypad which i hadn't noticed then) with the advisor in the shop, i was told there was noting they could do but if i wanted i could have the number for head office. i stupidly didn't take the number. My problem with it all though is there was no concern shown for the problems by the branch and i think it shows a complete lack of respect for peoples phones which they have happily taken the money for. The repair service is obviously a burden to them and something they have to do more than they want to do. I now have to look at the scratch on the screen and use an annoying keypad for the rest of my contract which still has around 18 months to go. I handed my phone in perfect condition (apart it wanting to insert the sim!) and it has been handed back in an inferior condition. |

As an update to this complaint i am very happy at the way phones4u have dealt with my concern. They have been swift and exceeded my expectations (they were not very high) of what they would do to resolve my issue. All in all much happier than i was a couple of weeks ago. Thank you Phones4U |
